Dealing with hardships using the miraculous Quran

Bismillah Hirrahmaa Nirrahim (In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful)

Its quite amazing to see how life takes turns in our lives. At one time you will find yourself on top of the world and really low at other times. Everyone goes through this may it be the king or the beggar.

Realizing the above two lines will help us get over the biggest troubles in life and this is Allah's SWT way of teaching we humans that you don't need to be a kings to be happy.

I am mostly known to be very happy; carrying a smile on my face regardless of whats happening in my life. I don't share the hardships in my life with anyone except Allah (SWT) because after all, it is Allah (SWT) who will get me out of it; Nobody else can and this is the truth.

I was recently going through a bad phase in my life so much so that I thought that I am a total waste. I don't deserve anything in life and will fall on my face soon. Almost everyone of us goes through this phase where everybody around us demoralizes us by saying what we are doing is wrong and not correct and you should change and you should become more practical.

Alhamdulillah, by the grace of Allah (SWT) I have a wonderful habit of reading the Holy Qur'an everyday.  There are lots of benefits of it and I am going to talk about only one such benefit in this article.

When things are going right for you, you tend to think that whatever you are doing is right and this may lead you adapt some 'not so good' practices. It happened with me too. Though I was reading the Holy Qur'an daily, I kind of started taking it too easy and thought I know all this, I have read it many times. But this hard time in my life Alhamdulillah helped me recall some of the teachings of my Ustads -

"If you want to talk to Allah, offer Namaz but if you want Allah to talk to you, read the Holy Qur'an"

"There is not a single problem of your life of which you won't find a solution in the Holy Qur'an"

and many more.

This also helped me recall, how everyday the Holy Qur'an use to touch my life when I use to read it attentively. This was enough for me to get up and pick up the Holy Qur'an. I opened it and started reading from where I left it CH:4 V:26 -

"Allah would explain to you and guide you by the examples of those who were before you, and would turn to you in mercy. Allah is Knower, Wise."

SubhanAllah… this indeed is a Miracle. This didn't just happen once, this happens every time to me and millions around the world. I don't want to explain how I understood my situation and what examples came in front of me because you will learn your way with different examples. After all this is the beauty of the Holy Qur'an, it touches everyone regardless of the age, race, tribe, time, etc. InshaAllah, Allah would turn to us in mercy.

We Maharashtrians

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful Specially written for the so called outsiders in Pune Praise be to Allah. I would like to begin with defining the word Maharashtrian. Maharashtrian according to me doesn't mean someone with a specific religious ideology, I define Maharashtrian like I define an Indian so Maharashtrian, I thus define as someone who is born & brought-up in Maharashtra. Once this is clear let us go ahead. I have been in Pune for almost a year now, and been a Maharashtrian as well as a practicing Muslim I feel it’s mandatory to clarify all the following allegations made against we Maharashtrians. 1. Maharashtrians don't speak any other language than Marathi India is a vast country with diverse cultures, there are more than 100 languages spoken here. I am proud to be a citizen of India. Now being a vast country with so many languages spoken, for the purpose of efficient administration our states are divided o...

Rationale behind injustice, oppression, etc

Bismillah Hirrahmaa Nirrahim (In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful) Praise be to Allah, As we live on the face of this earth, we get a lot of questions in our mind specially when we are serious or are hurt. The questions could be anything from Why do cheaters win? Why do strong people crush or exploit the poors? Why does the rich keeps on becoming more rich by using the wrong mean? to Does God exist? All of the above questions can be summarized by one question and that is -  “If God exists, why do people prosper using the wrong mean?” And ya.. thats fair. If God exists, why does he allow wrongdoers to prosper! Why doesn’t he clean this earth and make everyone good! I guess, even I pondered on these questions a lot during my lifetime. I mostly posed this questions to my parents and few spiritual people around me but didn’t get a convincing answer. InshaAllah, in this article I am going to talk about the answer to these questions. Purpose of ...

Preparing for Hajj: The Physical Fitness

Bismillah ir Rahman ir Rahim (In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful) "And those who strive for Us — We will surely guide them to Our ways. And indeed, Allah is with the doers of good." — [Surah Al-Ankabut, 29:69] Assalamu Alaikum everyone, In my last blog, I shared how I made the decision to perform Hajj with my father. Today, I want to take you through our preparation process, which was a crucial part of the journey. Preparation for Hajj is key to ensuring a successful pilgrimage, and it’s something that ideally begins as soon as one embraces Islam or if you are an existing muslim, whenever you reach adulthood. However, it’s never too late to start — once you make the intention or book your trip, the preparation should begin right away. For us, preparation for Hajj was a process that had been unfolding since my childhood. My mother used to constantly narrate the stories of Hajj and Madinah, and my father did the same. These stories planted a seed of excitement a...
