Helping your Wife/Mother at home

Bismillah irRahman irRahim In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful Photo taken from -  http://previews.123rf.com/images/goodshotalan/goodshotalan1301/goodshotalan130100008/17339271-Vector-cartoon-of-man-drying-dishes-with-fan--Stock-Vector.jpg It is generally said that we don’t know whats happening in others lives until we step into their shoes. I feel this is very true for our homes as well. In fact a lot of domestic issues will be sorted out if we understand the state of the other person. We need to do this most importantly with our women; we men have no idea what they go through at all! It was a normal day’s start for me until I heard that the maid is not going to come today, she has taken an off. If you are married and have experienced similar situation, you would know what the home turns into when the maid takes an off at the last moment!!! After lunch, when I stepped into the kitchen, I saw a huge pile of utensils to be washed. I realise...

[Namaz with Jamat series] Getting ready to join the saff

Bismillah irRahman irRahim In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful Photo taken form - Google This is the first post in the series Alhamdulillah and according to me the most important one. Since the time I started offering namaz in the mosque with jamat, I have observed a lot of people joining the saff hurriedly. People join the saff without being prepared for it and then they start preparing for it after joining the saff. To give you an example, people join the saff and then keep on wiping the water from their hands and face (they are wet because of Wudu), then they fold or unfold their sleeves, then they switch off or turn their mobiles on silent mode, then they wear the head cap and it goes on and on. Finally, after they are done with everything, they will join the prayer. So what is the problem with this? There are plenty of problems -  When someone does it beside me, it disturbs my concentration in the prayer and I also get irritated ...

Namaz (salah) with Jamat(congregation) series

Bismillah irRahman irRahim In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful Often, while offering namaz by Jamat (i.e. salah in congregation) I see people making some small but important mistakes. In this series inshaAllah, I will try and speak of these mistakes and also suggest how to avoid these mistakes insha Allah. Abu Hurayra said, "A believer is the mirror of his brother. When he sees a fault in it, he should correct it.” ( Al-Adab Al-Mufrad 238, graded Hasan by Al Albani ) Please note that the objective of this series is not to criticise people or point out mistakes in them but rather to correct them as is expected from a Muslim, Alhamdulillah. In case, you know a better way or find anything wrong in this, please do write it in the comments.

Story of br. Abdul Tawwab

Bismillah IrRahman IrRahim In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful I had an opportunity to visit IREF, Hyderabad in Dec 2015 to listen to Br. Imran LIVE. Alhamdulillah, it was an amazing experience and Alhamdulillah, Br. Imran gave me 15 mins of his crucial time to talk 1O1. I will keep the experience about the meet with Br. Imran for a later article InshaAllah. In this article, I want to talk about the story of one of the revert brother that Br. Imran narrated in his lecture. The story is about a non-muslim brother who was in love with Urdu and wanted to learn it. Since, he was very poor, he couldn’t afford to take classes for Urdu. However, he use to associate ‘Urdu' with Muslims and thought of going and sitting near a mosque to learn this language. He started to go and sit on the stairs of one of the Mosques every Friday. Now, on every Friday, there is a sermon where the Imam reminds people about islamic duties. In the sermon, he use to hear the word ‘Alla...

Removing stone from the road

Bismillah irRahman irRahim  (In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful) This is one of my personal experience. Once, few of my in-laws had come from Pune to visit us. Since Nagpur is the tiger capital of India, we thought of taking them for a Jungle Safari. We were travelling by two cars, driving one behind the other. On the way, we found few of big rocks on the road and we drive past most of them. The rocks were big enough to trouble any vehicle and cause accidents but small enough to drive away making sure that the rock passes though the middle of two wheels. Suddenly, the car ahead stopped and one of my relative got down from it. We were inquisitively looking at what is he upto but he got down and threw aside the rock that was on the road. The moment he did this, the following Hadith came into my mind -  Abu Dharr narrated that the Messenger of Allah said : "Your smiling in the face of your brother is charity, commanding good and forbidding ev...

Dawah - An Open Invitation

BismillAllah HirRahman IRahim (In the name of Allah, Most Beneficent, Most Merciful.) What do we do when we get to know something that is good? We share it. Right? We invite other to it. Right? Remember the last time you saw a good movie or heard a good song… What do we do, we ask our friends if they have seen it. If not, we tell them that they must have a look at it. Thats the natural human attitude, isn't it? Also, remember how we complain to our friends when they know something that could have helped us but they never told us about it. This is the very basic expectation that we have from our friends, isn't it? And on top of that, if we come to know something that our friend is doing which is going to harm him; what do we do? We warn them about it, right? InshaAllah, this article of mine is about the same. Before my friends and you all complain, let me share with you all that which I have found good and that which is beneficial for you all. “Ver...

Rationale behind injustice, oppression, etc

Bismillah Hirrahmaa Nirrahim (In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful) Praise be to Allah, As we live on the face of this earth, we get a lot of questions in our mind specially when we are serious or are hurt. The questions could be anything from Why do cheaters win? Why do strong people crush or exploit the poors? Why does the rich keeps on becoming more rich by using the wrong mean? to Does God exist? All of the above questions can be summarized by one question and that is -  “If God exists, why do people prosper using the wrong mean?” And ya.. thats fair. If God exists, why does he allow wrongdoers to prosper! Why doesn’t he clean this earth and make everyone good! I guess, even I pondered on these questions a lot during my lifetime. I mostly posed this questions to my parents and few spiritual people around me but didn’t get a convincing answer. InshaAllah, in this article I am going to talk about the answer to these questions. Purpose of ...
