Bismillah Hirrahmaa Nirrahiim
“What does success means to you?”“To enter Jannat (Paradise)”
It was Dinesh Nathani Sir’s session on ‘Explore the Genius Within’ on 21st of August 2010.
The session was conducted as a part of CLDP program at Indira Institute of Management (IIMP).
Dinesh Nathani sir started his session with the question above. He personally went to few of the students and asked the same question. In the process he also came to me and with his hand on my shoulder he asked me the question at the top.
I had to repeat my answer twice on his reaction may be because he didn’t understand the answer or maybe he couldn’t believe what he heard. Regardless of the reason, the audience in the auditorium started laughing (a bit louder for the second time in fact).
“All those who are laughing are fools……..!!!!!!!!!!! He gave a brilliant answer………!!!!!!!” was sir’s reply in his heavy and imposing voice.
In an auditorium full of 120 students (approx), just imagine the wide range of answers that would have came out….. Money, Power, Job satisfaction, etc… etc. MBA students are quite use to using complex terminologies which I won’t point out here, may be a separate article on it.
In today’s scenario, a student chooses a field of education for many reasons. Some really mean and want to make a career in the field they opt for, but many of them do it for reasons:
- Most of my friends have chosen the same.
- My parents want me to.
- I will get a good salary package on completing the course.
- I DON’T KNOW.
- My girlfriend/boyfriend has chosen the same.
Well we keep on acquiring these degrees… one… two… three… for??????
For all the worldly benifits…. Isn’t it!
Just give a thought about what happens after death, we have to appear in front of the GOD ALMIGHTY (ALLAH SWT) for the judgment. The final accounts you can say like we prepare at the end of the accounting year.
(NOTE: being a MBA student, I am too quite use to using these terminologies… sorry for that)
Are we all ready for the day?????????
Here is a Hadith from Sahih Al-Bukhari which inspired me and gave me the purpose of my life. This Hadith is also an answer to all of my friends who kept on asking me questions regarding the answer I gave to Dinesh Nathani sir.
Volume 1: Book 11: Hadith 629:Narrated by Abu Huraira:The Prophet (PBUH) said, "Allah will give shade, to seven, on the Day when there will be no shade but His. (These seven persons are)
- A just Ruler
- A youth who has been brought up in the worship of Allah (i.e. worships Allah sincerely from childhood)
- A man whose heart is attached to the mosques (i.e. to pray the compulsory prayers in the mosque in congregation)
- Two persons who love each other only for Allah's sake and they meet and part in Allah's cause only
- A man who refuses the call of a charming woman of noble birth for illicit intercourse with her and says: I am afraid of Allah
- A man who gives charitable gifts so secretly that his left hand does not know what his right hand has given (i.e. nobody knows how much he has given in charity)
- A person who remembers Allah in seclusion and his eyes are then flooded with tears."
The above Hadith just acted as a guide for me to get the right path. Insha Allah… the Hadith will help you all too.
And Allah knows the best.
(Note: SWT=subahna wa tala, PBUH=peace be upon him)
